There isn't any part of the entire Zabok area that exceeds 300 meters above sea level, but it offers beautiful opportunities for hiking or walking the Ksaver trails that Ksaver Šandor Gjalski used to walk on. The Picelj mountain house is located on the top of the very scenic Picelj Hill near Zabok, at 212 m above sea level. Next to the house, on the slope below the terrace, there is the Botanical Collection of the Picelj Educational Park.

From the mountain house, the view shoots towards Sljeme and Samobor hills to the south, towards Cesargradska gora and Kunagora to the west, and towards Strahinjčica and Ivanščica to the north.
