Kunagora, enticing with its charm, is sure to show any well-intentioned passerby the hidden paths and viewpoints that offer amazing vistas. Adventurers can cycle along its slopes, run up Lenart’s stairs and follow the marked hiking trails. Or just head in your own direction.
The walls of Kostelgrad tell tales of pride, a medieval fortress in honor of which the Kostel Pistol - Keglević's guard Kostel, preserves the one-half-century-old tradition of shooting from a holster. And at the foot of the Kunagora mountain stands the town of Pregrada, exuding a rich history. The old town is adorned with picturesque houses, a museum featuring interesting exhibits and the Zagorje Cathedral. Besides members of the nobility, this town is also the birthplace of Janko Leskovar, a renowned novelist. Tradition and cultivation of old customs are of great importance to its citizens, and in September you can join grape harvest during the Branje grozdja festival, an event dedicated to the celebration of autumn.
