Health. This is the one word we could use to describe Krapinske Toplice, a municipality built around a thermal water spring. It was declared the Best Health Tourist Destination in Croatia for the year 2018 thanks to its professional medical rehabilitation, relaxation in saunas, wellness and the therapeutic properties of thermal water. Jakob Badl himself recognized the importance of the place and built a health resort there, at the time a sophisticated recreational and health resort for the Austro-Hungarian elite. His mausoleum offers an idyllic view of the place, which holds a charming festival in his honor every summer, known as the "dance hall under the stars" – BadlFest.
