Kunagora, with its rich flora and fauna and geological treasures, is a frequent destination for hikers, geologists, mushroom pickers and excursionists. From the mountain house on one side and the road near the chapel of St. Leonard from the direction of the city on the other side, you can reach the Herbert trail that leads along a forest road to the Mushroom House on “Bukovski vrh“, a refuge for Kunagora mushrooms and the highest point of Kunagora at 522 m above sea level. Approximately 100 m southwest is the meadow “Velika Ravna” which offers a beautiful view from Medvednica, over Cesargradska hill to the mountains in Slovenia. Right on this highest part of Kunagora, the road forks south to Vražja peć, Vinagora and Veliki Tabor, or north to Kostelgrad. The trails are described HERE.
